Asilah with a population of around 20,000 is an beautiful coastal town which is steeped in history. It is full of lovely wide streets and has a really beautiful tree lined sea front boulevard. The town has a great selection of restaurants, where you can try all the local seafood dishes.

The Medina (old quarter) is made up of lovely blue and white houses, which are all well kept. Small shops sell a variety of local handcrafts. Asilah has all the facilities you would expect such as banks, chemists, church, numerous hotels and a hospital.

Every year Asilah celebrates their annual Arts Festival which dates back to the late 1970’s. The festival is attended by musicians, poets, writers and painters from all over the world.
